Quick After School Snack – Smore’s Pudding Cup
We started back to school here in Vegas on Monday. I’m not sure who’s more excited Ethan or me. I love summer vacation and all the fun, family activities we did. But, I’d be less than honest if I didn’t admit to looking forward to having a regular schedule back again. And naps. I like my naps too. I miss my naps. Ethan came home after school Monday and was full of stories about his first day back.
We talked about his new teacher, the friends he didn’t get to see over the summer, how hard his new math homework is going to be this year, everything. rapid fire words shooting in excitement from his mouth. Did you know they are multiplying fractions in fourth grade?? I don’t think I was taught how to do that so young! Were you? Looking at his new math book, I can say I don’t remember it well either! Holy cow. Honestly, I’m going to be using Google to help him this year with that. And then came the question I’d been waiting for… What can I have for an after school snack? And so it begins…
I picked up some Snack Pack® pudding when we were out shopping the other day. They are great for lunch boxes as well as whipping up fun snacks when they come running through the door starving. One of our favorite things to do on cooler evenings here is spark up the fire pit and make S’mores. since it’s still super warm, we have a bit before we’re going to be able to do that. So, I thought it would be fun to make an easy S’mores Pudding Cup for his after school snack. It was easy with the Snack Pack® chocolate flavor, a few mini marshmallows and some graham crackers.
Ethan happily munched down on it while we finished chatting about his day. Did you know Matt is going to join Cub Scouts with me this year? That will be so much fun, right? I’m thinking it will not be so much fun for the scout leader, but he seems happy about it. Also! that cute little girl named Jennifer I couldn’t talk to last year because she made me nervous, remember her?? Well, her mommy had a new baby. It’s a boy. His name is Sam. She doesn’t like that he cries at night, it makes her sad. Also, she wants us to call her Jenny now not Jennifer. Can I change my name too?
No Ethan, no you can’t. Eat up that after school snack there bud so we can start on this awesome math homework.
