2 Ingredient Chocolate Fruit Dip Recipe
Last week all the kiddos here in Vegas were doing the yearly testing. I don’t remember having to sit in one classroom all day long for a week testing, do you? Naturally, Ethan tried the typical round of excuses to stay home. He even pulled out the ‘I think my baby toe is broke’. I convinced him to at least wake up for the yummy fruit dip. Because, chocolate. While I could sympathize since I sit here in this one spot writing all day, he didn’t get out of going. Broke baby toe or not. All of us parents got a note sent home for our own homework too. It was to make sure we sent them to school with a good breakfast. Can’t make good test scores on an empty tummy, right? I’m certainly not going to be that one parent who gets an F on homework either. I wanted to make sure he had something he likes but is also healthy. And, all kids love to dunk their food! That’s what makes this 2 Ingredient Chocolate Fruit Dip perfect! Add some fresh fruit and you have an instant breakfast! Here, let me show you!
Chocolate Fruit Dip
- 1 Cup Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt
- 1 TBS Carnation Breakfast Essentials (powder)
- Bite Sized Pieces Of Favorite Fruits
- In a medium sized bowl, add 1 cup of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of Carnation Breakfast Essentials.
- Mix until well combined. Making sure there are no lumps.
- We used fresh melons, pineapples, bananas and apples. Pick you favorite fruit.
- Cut up the night before and refrigerate.
- Serve and let the dunking begin!
- This makes enough for 1 serving. Add equal parts for each kiddo!
Easy – peasy, right? I felt good knowing he got off with a healthy breakfast, all under 250 calories too! And he got off to school testing with a full belly and a smile on his face. As we say in Vegas, #Winning!

I’ve never thought of doing something like this. My son loves the vanilla carnation in his milk and I do too because it gives him the nutrients he needs. I’ll have to try this some time.
