Lemon Ginger Mojito Recipe With Muddled Blueberry
Everybody loves a good mojito recipe, right? It’s kind of the go to summer drink lately. But, we’re in Vegas. We have to shake things up. Give everything a good kick, ya know? So, how do you make a Vegas Style Mojito Recipe AKA the prettiest girl at the party, but still keep her waistline in check? I pulled out a few bottles of this, a couple different fruits and my simple syrup made from Sweet’N Low and put my thinking cap on. My husband says it’s awesome sauce times a gazillion, but not technically a mojito recipe now…. Tell me what you think….
Lemon Ginger Mojito Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Cup Blueberry Vodka
- 2 Bottles Ginger Beer (seriously yummy!)
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 2 Springs Mint
- 1/4 Cup Skinny Simple Syrup (equal part Sweet’N Low & Water)
- 1 Lemon
DIRECTIONS:
See that glass behind the drinks? It’s filled with these cool ice cubes my neighbor showed me how to make. I thought they’d go good with this mojito recipe. You have to go old school with an ice tray, still have 1 of those? Put a few bits of mint, the ginger, a couple blueberries and some lemon zest in each slot. Juice the lemon and mix it in with 1 cup water. Fill slots with water and freeze over-night.
Grab yourself a pretty glass pitcher. First, let’s muddle those blueberries in the bottom. You don’t need to squish them into a mash, just poke them a bit to release the juice. Pour your vodka, skinny simple syrup, and both bottles of ginger beer directly over the blueberries. Add the juice of 1 lemon. Drop 1/2 the ice cubes you froze into the pretty girl pitcher. Stir that up. Yes, it will fizz a bit from the beer. Totes ok!
Grab 2 tall glasses and put a couple of the ice cubes in each. Pour that yummy drink right over the cubes. Give it another good stir and you’re good to party!
Please remember, drink responsibly my friends!!
