Zest Up Your ‘Burger – Spicy Bacon Ranch Slaw Recipe
That’s right. I said it. A Spicy Bacon Ranch Slaw Dressing Recipe! And, I put it on my ‘burger too! It’s Vegas baby, #FoodDeservesDelicious up in here yo. Over kill? Maybe. But follow me on this… We have Bacon, Kraft Ranch, a Serrano pepper and as Emeril says… BAM! So, here’s the story:
It’s Saturday in Vegas and it’s pouring. POURING… That never happens. My sunny, warm, happy place got all gray, dull and yucky. I took out meat to grill up some burgers. But a sad burger on a bun isn’t going to put any pep in my step. My grandma was famous for her cole slaw recipe. There was nothing better in the Summer than everyone getting together and waiting on her to whip it up and get the BBQ on. She always used Kraft Ranch, which is now creamier, with more buttermilk and savory herbs. I got to thinking… (dangerous, I know) If I dice up that Serrano from my weekly produce box and toss in some bacon (because, BACON!) I could for sure find my pep. Spice it up and find my happy warm place. Rain or not, off to Walmart I went.
Spicy Bacon Ranch Slaw Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 Head Green Cabbage (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 Head Purple Cabbage (thinly sliced)
- 1 /2 TSP Serrano Pepper (seeded & diced)
- 6 Strips Bacon (cook, drain, crumble)
- 1 Cup Kraft Ranch Dressing
DIRECTIONS:
Seriously, this slaw recipe could not be any easier. After cooking up your bacon and slicing and dicing… you just mix everything up in a bowl. Place slaw recipe in covered container and let chill in the ‘fridge for an hour. Yeah, that’s it. A little effort to a whole ‘lotta flavor! Thankfully, I won the argument of buying the stove-top grill I had with the hubs. He said “Vegas… we don’t need that“. I said ‘Hot outside, totes need that” Neither of us called RAIN. But, I win by default. We pulled that baby out and grilled up some burgers! Topped with cheese and my grandma’s doctored up slaw… Happy, warm place!
A side of fries and a cold beer. Ok, he had the fries, I made a salad. Kraft Zesty Italian and the rest of that Serrano. I’m a spicy gal. And, the new Kraft Pourables have been reinvented with a new, better taste! What rain? And that’s called #Winning in Vegas baby!
