A&W Root Beer Crockpot Pulled Pork Recipe
3 Ingredients + 1 Slow Cooker = Crockpot Pulled Pork. Also, Happy Family Dinner! You’re welcome!
So, I was stumbling around Safeway the other day trying to figure out what the heck to make for dinner. I was at a conference all weekend, so it had to be easy. Also, Vegas. It’s starting to move from ‘Aahhh, it’s Spring” into ‘OMG, it’s getting hot”. So, let’s try and keep the oven off, shall we? I’m a huge A&W Root Beer fan. Is there anything better than that sweet, frothy goodness on a hot day? No. No there isn’t. I noticed they now sell A&W Ten. Right! 10 calories per serving. My waistline ain’t gonna shrink on it’s own anymore. No age jokes ya’ll… But why give up all that flavor I love so? No need my foodie friends. Follow this super easy, peasy Root Beer Crockpot Pulled Pork Recipe and your fam will be happy. Your kitchen will stay cool. And, no gazillion pots and pans to wash! Just so full of winning! Let’s do this!
Crockpot Pulled Pork Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 Lb Pork Roast (trim fat, rub with salt & pepper)
- 1 1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce (your choice, pick your fav)
- 2 or 3 Cans A&W Root Beer Ten (enough to cover roast)
Directions:
Got a pen? This is super detailed and going to take a lot of writing…. Totally kidding. Dump all the ingredients (except BBQ sauce) for Crockpot Pulled Pork in your Slow Cooker. Turn on low. Cook for 6 hours or until your pork shreds easily with 2 forks. Sometimes, I like to let Ethan help and give him a chunk to shred with his little hands when it’s cooled a bit. Pile all the shredded pork back in the crockpot and pour BBQ sauce over meat. Stir well and make sure every tiny shred gets a good coating. Give it about 45 minutes on low to warm up again. Serve on your favorite deli rolls or hamburger bun! Done!
I used The Pioneer Woman’s Cilantro Jalapeno Slaw Recipe to top these off. I love some kick. This slaw had a teeeeeeny bit of kick but OMGoooood! The cilantro was an Uh.Maze.Ing touch for sure! I’ve said it before but, Ethan loves him some pickles. So, pickles on the side it was. It was really that easy. I set the Crockpot Pulled Pork up before I left the house in the morning. Set out to my conference and when I came home, it was done. Best recipe ever!
This would be the most awesome dish to bring to a potluck too! If you’re out and about shopping, I found this coupon for you to save when you buy the pop (or do you say soda?) I grew up in Chicago, I say POP! 🙂 Load some of those others on your shopper card too, while you’re there. It’s cool to watch the price drop after they slide your card thru that little machine do-hickey-thingy-ma-jigger….
So, ready to whip up this quick and yummy Root Beer Crockpot Pulled Pork for your family’s dinner?
Oh! If you’re looking for an Uh.Maze.Ing Crockpot breakfast, try out my Slow Cooker French Toast! (or do you call it bread pudding?) It’s all kinds of cinnamon-y, vanilla-y goodness! Dessert kind of good!

Im making this for dinner tn…my in laws are coming over so i hope i can impress them with this..one question though when im putting the shredded pork back into the slowcooker..is the rootbeer still in the cooker..or do i pour it out before addig the meat and bbq sauce to the slowcooker
Sassy says
You should have very little liquid left, as it soaks into the meat. If there’s a TON, pour a bit out. If there’s no more than a cup(ish) leave it in!
Let me know how it turns out and if the fam gives it 2 thumbs up!! 😉
