Creamy Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine Recipe
So, this week, we’re doing something just a bit different! My Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine recipe is an awesome homemade meal. BUT!! It can be whipped up in 15 minutes or less! Yep! In the time it takes for you to boil water… Dinner is served! And, not just a microwaved boxed kind of dinner, either. I’m talking fresh, creamy Cajun Shrimp kinda meal! I know!! I just keep brining’ on the awesome! Look, I hate hanging over the hot stove too. And, here in Vegas, I’m going to hate it even more real quick. So, I teamed up with some awesome foodie’s and we’re giving you our best 15 minutes or less. Start to finish. It’s my 1st week with the gang, so let’s break it down with some Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine and go from there shall we? Oh, this is a pretty spicy one… My friend in Louisiana sent me this recipe, so you know it’s got some kick! Those of you with more sensitive tongues feel free to use less peppery goodness!
Creamy Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 TBS Fresh Basil (chopped)
- 1 TBS Fresh Thyme (chopped)
- 1 TBS Garlic (minced)
- 1 TSP Salt
- 1 TSP Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 TSP Crushed Red Pepper
- 1 TSP White Pepper
- 1 Cup Green Onion (chopped)
- 2 TBS Parsley (chopped)
- 1 LB Cooked/Frozen Shrimp (thawed)
- 1/2 Cup Swiss Cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 1 LB Fettuccine
Directions:
Ok, let’s pretend we’re on Chopped. But instead of a basket of weird ingredients, we’ve got all the awesome stuff listed above. We only have 15 minutes to get this Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine on the table in front of the judges… eeerr… family. Ready? GO! Put a pot of water on to boil. While that’s going, pour heavy cream into large skillet. Cook over medium heat until just about boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, and all ingredients above except for shrimp and pasta. Simmer for about 8 -10 minutes, or until thickened. Drop your pasta in boiling water and cook. Now that your sauce has thickened, stir in shrimp and warm those babies up!
Stir in both cheeses and allow them the get all ooey, gooey. Drain pasta. Plate it up and…. Serve!
If you really were on Chopped, you just won the 10K my friend! But, you’re not. You’re home. So your prize is to sit down and enjoy that awesome Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine with the fam! Everyone around the table! laughing, talking about their day. Making memories!
