Unlimited Wireless Plans – Can You Hear Me Now?
For the last 6 months, I’ve talked about Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Wireless Plans. We’ve gone over how it’s an affordable ($40 a month) unlimited talk, text, and web plan. I’ve told you that the unlimited wireless plans at Walmart allow you to pay month-to-month. No more chained to a 2 year contract. I mean, I can’t plan dinner most night’s, how am I supposed to really plan for 2 years? I more than just ‘tried out’ the service. I put it through the ‘Mom Blog / Social Media Guru’ ringer. Still gotta say, it’s definitely an option for families who are looking for cheaper wireless alternatives to get on board with.
Unlimited Wireless Plans – Not Just For Teens
I told you with my job, it’s super important to have a working phone. It’s tough to be a Social Media Guru with a cell phone that doesn’t stay connected. Unlimited wireless plans or not, it has to work, right? And sadly, the fire department where my husband worked for years, up and closed in May. How does that even happen? We went from his awesome paying job to just my income literally overnight. It became a necessity to save the money each month. Look at that bill up there, more than double what we pay with the Walmart plan. Yes, it’s great for teens working part-time jobs, but people like me, with families, it can be a huge plus for the bank account!
So, what did we do with all the money, honey?
While we’re still trimming the budget after having our income cut so drastically, I did manage to tuck a few pennies aside to make Summer fun for Ethan. We took a weekend trip to SeaWorld. A once in a lifetime experience was had! Yep, we got up close and personal with the dolphins and everything! I highly recommend everyone makes it there at least once! Also, phone service was pretty excellent while we were there, just sayin’ ….
I’ve said a gazillion times, I’m no fan of Chuckie Cheese. But, I’m a HUGE fan of Skee-Ball! The money we save in just 1 month with Walmart’s unlimited wireless plans lets us take Ethan to learn one of the greatest games of our time. Sure, it starts by luring him in with all those tickets he could win. But soon, it’s all about getting that little ball in that tiny hole. And, he’s a champ! Look at that perfect form. I’m so proud…. *tears*
And don’t think I didn’t score a little sumpin’ sumpin’ for myself either! Sadly, I didn’t save up enough to follow the Tour Bus around this summer. Some girls dream of Paris, I enjoy the diesel fumes from a tour bus. Don’t judge. I did however manage to sneak in a few concerts from my beloved Tim McGraw. Which will be just enough to tide me over until next year. Don’t fret Tim, we will be together again soon.
Can You Hear Me Now?
So, what have we learned over the last 6 months with Walmart Family Mobile? Cutting your monthly bill in 1/2 is awesome. The service provided by their unlimited wireless plans is perfect for my job. And we’ll never be tied to a 2 year contract again! Oh… And Tim!
What are you waiting for? Have you made the switch?

I really need to consider changing plans. We seem to be locked into our plan for eternity, but the more I see your posts on this the more I want to see about getting out of what we are paying.
