Whether you do the tailgating thing or just having friends pop in and out, there’s no doubt with the holidays right around the corner, it’s a question you’ll soon be asking yourself! I’ve got one of our favorites for you today. It is beyond easy and super tasty. It’s also great for after school snacks. Kids and adults over here ask for these tasty little babies all the time. Let me show you…
Perfect Party Food – Cheesy Sausage & Apple Cups
What you’ll need:
- Phyllo Wrappers
- 1 Green Apple
- 1 Green Pepper
- 3 Cups Shredded Cheese
- 1 PKG Hillshire Farm Beef Sausage (we use Italian Smoked, use your favorite flavor)
- 1 TBS finely chopped Sage
You probably have most of that on hand right now, don’t ya? Uh.Maze.Ing party food my friends!
What You Do:
Pre-heat oven to 350*. Grab a big ole mixing bowl, dice green pepper and apple. Toss those together in the bowl. Chop up fresh Sage into really tiny bits and mix that in. Dice your sausage and mix well with all ingredients. Use 2/3 of the cheese in this mixture also. Set aside. Lightly coat a muffin pan with non-stick spray. Place 1 wrapper in each well and place in oven to toast for 5 minutes. They will be slightly toasted. Fill each cup 2/3’s full with sausage mixture and sprinkle the reserved cheese on top. Place back in over for another 7 minutes. Cheese should be bubbly and Phyllo will be nicely browned along the edges. And that’s it!
